Kevin is the owner of Dukes Performance Horses in Weatherford, Texas. He has over seventy World, Congress, and National Champion titles and placings in fifteen different events spanning over six different breed associations as well as NSBA. Dukes has been a member of the Animal Welfare Commission and Show Counsel for the AQHA and is currently on the Executive Committee serving as First Vice President for the NSBA.

Dukes has always put the “horse first” and says that after training horses for so many years he still does it because he loves horses. “It is so rewarding to see the connection, trust, and success between horses and riders build and strengthen through their training and education.” Kevin’s talent and love for the horse combined is what has carried him to various successes in his career and continues to do so today. While Kevin is still training horses full time and traveling to shows he is also proud to be a part of the KSM Bear Creek Farms team as a facility manager, consultant, and trainer. Kevin says, “This is one of the most exciting things he has been involved with in a while. Working with long-time friend Kathy Sneed has been a blast. The one thing about Kathy is if she is going to do something…she’s going to do it right. And I love that. This facility is going to be one of the finest state-of-the-art facilities in the DFW area and has a diverse and quality set of trainers and professionals.”

Dukes’ proudest accomplishment is his family… his wife Melissa, daughter Mattie, and son Clay who have also excelled in the equine industry and won World Championships of their own.
